This is a one-hour program that is suitable for year 7 and above.
This program looks at the issue of young people taking indecent pictures of themselves, then sending those pictures to another using the various social media formats.
The session looks at relationships and how a person can be pressured into taking and sending such pictures, the legal and social implications and also the potential negative implications for the individuals future, the session then closes with a discussion about what to do and who to speak to.
This session falls within the ‘Safe Guarding’ agenda.
This program uses PowerPoint, relevant examples, and videos to achieve its aims.
The program can be delivered to a year group or individual class sized groups, the program can also be adapted for a more targeted approach or based on the needs and time constraints of the education facility.
