"The Anti Radicalisation session was delivered to over 290 young people on the Grimsby Town NCS programme in the summer 2017 and was very well received. The young people felt they learned a lot from the excellently delivered interactive session and stated it gave them greater understanding of the issues, both locally and on an international level. The NCS graduates fed back that the session should be imbedded into all further programs due to the relevance of the contents and the knowledge and delivery style of the facilitator."
"My children enjoyed the sessions last week, pretty much all of them were engaged with the learning and were enthusiastic about the session. I even had to refer back to what you discussed with the consequence session on Monday after an incident on social media over the weekend, which was helpful!
I think it especially helped that you had back ground experiences with these areas and the children enjoyed hearing about your past experiences in the police force.
Thanks again for coming in."
"Knife Crime Awareness Program: This session was delivered to over 280 young people on the Grimsby Town NCS programme in summer 2018. The session was hard hitting and very emotive due to localised stories and contributions from victims living in our local area. The young people responded very positively to the session and stated that their eyes had been open to the fact that knife crime happens in their local area, as the majority of the young people felt the issues were ‘something that get reported in the news after happening in large cities’. Our young people stated they had a greater understanding of knife crime after the sessions and felt the session was authentic, as the facilitator was a recently retired Police officer from the local area, who knew the area well and seen the impact of the crimes first hand. A quote from one of the NCS participants was that ‘all young people should experience the session’."
